What the thing is
A news aggregator. It reads 34 feeds on a schedule, files what it finds by subject, groups reports of the same event together, and puts the result on a page that links back to the publisher. Readers can follow the channels they want and get what they follow in one place.

How it makes money
Advertising, through Google AdSense, on the public news pages. That is the whole of it today. Reader data is not sold, and no arrangement is planned in which it would be.
