    MADE THIS appoints Marie-Celine Merret as head of creative technology

    MADE THIS, the specialist production company launched by Clemenger Group has appointed Marie-Celine Merret “MC” to lead its creative technology capability.

    Her remit will include all things experiential, immersive storytelling, gaming, AR & VR, XR, AI and content automation.

    Merret established Media.Monks in Australia and New Zealand together with MADE THIS managing director Vinne Schifferstein.

    Before that, Merret was with Media.Monks in New York, where she developed the immersive and emerging technology practice and led the production of award-winning work, including a three-story tall interactive, immersive kinetic sculpture installation in Grand Central Terminal in NYC.

    She also led ground-breaking work during her time at Fake Love, a New York Times Experiential Design Agency, such as taking over Hollywood Boulevard for a real-time sun-powered art sculpture and the very first immersive music concert for young deaf adults for 7Up.

    When Merret first moved to Sydney, she did a stint at VANDAL, helping the team develop their digital placemaking practice.

    Schifferstein, managing director of MADE THIS, welcomed Merret’s appointment and said: “She’s one of the most forward-thinking can-do people in the industry that truly combines artistry with innovation. She’s critical in our journey to help clients change the way their creative work is being made.”

    Iain Todd, general manager of operations at MADE THIS, added: “The production landscape is evolving faster than ever. Brands are demanding a relevant capability that can make work in new and exciting ways. And MC’s appointment gives us exactly that.”

    MADE THIS is the specialised production company that launched late last year to help clients innovate to stay ahead of the curve and build connections with empathy between their brands and their audiences.
