    Share summary

    Nine won Wednesday night with a primary share of 21% and a network share of 29.6%.

    7Two has won multi channels with a 4.8% share.

    Seven received a primary share of 15% and a network share of 26.8%.

    Ten took a 7.2% primary share and a network share of 14.6%.

    Nine’s A Current Affair (560,000) put the spotlight on Sir Richard Branson who has heralded a new era of cruising, with his Virgin Voyages cruise line hitting Australian waters for the first time.

    Then, 390,000 watched Taronga: Who’s Who in the Zoo where Hala was finding it increasingly hard to get up in the morning, so time for a health check to find out what was going on.

    Clarkson’s Farm followed for 321,000. During the episode, host Jeremy Clarkson decided the way to keep his wild grass fields in check was with a flock of sheep, not realising the complications these high-maintenance animals would bring.

    152,000 then sat down for a repeat of Police Rescue Australia. The team received a call-out for an elderly man who was missing in dense bushland on Sydney’s northern outskirts. 

    Seven

    365,000 began their evening with another repeat of Seven’s Border Security: Australia’s Front Line where a passenger at Melbourne Airport was concealing a massive illegal import in her luggage.

    152,000 stayed on for the season finale of Big Brother Australia. All 19 housemates made a highly anticipated return and as the stakes reached their peak, the final housemates made their case to be the winner. TikToking sisters Tay and Ari Wilcoxson were crowned the winners, defeating fellow finalists Louis Phillips and Mineé Marx in a hotly contested public vote. 

    A repeat of Ed Sheeran v Adele followed for 126,000.

    412,000 watched ABC’s 7.30 explore the Victorian ombudsman which has released a scathing report about the state’s public service while  Laura Tingle interviewed Mark Dreyfus.

    414,000 then watched a repeat of Hard Quiz, which was the number one in prime-time entertainment.

    Question Everything was up next for 370,000. Hosts Wil Anderson and Jan Fran were joined by Nath Valvo, Geraldine Hickey and Brett Blake.

    235,000 also tuned in to Australian Epic.

    On 10, The Project’s (133,000 6:30pm / 163,000 7pm) Georgie Tunny spoke to Fraiser star Kelsey Grammar via satellite and looked at how Australia Post has finally put an end to daily letter deliveries after they became financially unviable, bringing an end to the era of papery correspondence.

    The Bachelors then followed as Ellie’s decision to pursue a potential relationship with Luke left Ben gutted and Maddison paid a surprising visit it Ben’s Bachelor pad, where she said Brea’s intentions with Wes were less than favourable. 149,000 tuned in.

    131,000 tuned in to SBS’s Gods of Tennis. The series looked at how in 1975, Billie Jean King and Arthur Ashe were fighting to become Wimbledon champions. Away from the court, they were also battling for social change on a global level.

    Alone UK was up next for 43,000

    Total TV Ratings, December 29

    885,000 viewed Seven’s season finale of  Home and Away, up 33%.

    640,000 caught ABC’s Hard Quizup 6%.

    636,000 watched Nine’s Taronga: Who’s Who in the Zoo, up 10%.
