Seven was in second place with 20.6% and 27.8%.
10 slipped to 6.0% in primary share which lifted to 11.9% when the multis were added.
The Block is nearly at the auctions with the judges looking at the backyards this week. Fill-in judge Marty Fox sure does a lot of talking and last night he really unloaded on Eliza and Liberty with the duo managing a score of just 27 from a possible 40. Kristy and Brett did little better on 28. The winners, after dropping just over $70k on their backyard, were Steph and Gian with a score of 37.5. People are loving backyards (there’s an idea for a show!) with a metro overnight audience of 909,000, after 882,000 last week. In Seven days we’ll reveal just how big that national Total TV number is.
60 Minutes followed with Nick McKenzie introducing his story titled All the President’s Friends which played “secret recordings” of Trump bestie Anthony Pratt. Also last night reporter Tom Steinfort spent time with some of Australia’s best women footballers including a visit to Manchester to interview two Matildas playing for Manchester City – Alanna Kennedy and Mary Fowler. After 498,000 a week ago, 60 Minutes was on 520,000 last night.
The second season of The 1% Club launched with host Jim Jeffries. It was no match for The Block, but it was a clear second in the timeslot with 545,000 and a big lift on the numbers for Spotlight last week.
An episode from season 16 of Border Security: Australia’s Front Line followed, looking in the luggage of visitors from the US, Spain and Korea. The audience watching the channel dropped to 315,000.
In 2019 Foxtel screened the six-episode true crime series Ron Iddles: The Good Cop. Last night Seven started screening the CJZ series with episode one pulling a crowd of 296,000.
Some of the Seven numbers are minus a Perth audience who were watching the end of Telethon. It was a clear fave in Perth with an audience of 133,000 early in the evening.
Plenty of showbiz gold on The Sunday Project with Cher and then two of The Wiggles – Anthony Field and Jeff Fatt. The episode was on 176,000 after 7pm.
Superstars from the entertainment world continued on The Graham Norton Show with Joan Collins sharing the couch with Patrick Stewart, Ralph Fiennes and Bella Ramsey from The Last of Us. An audience of 146,000 tuned in.
Then it was time for FBI night and the audience sticks across the three hours – FBI International (97,000), then FBI (93,000) and finally FBI: Most Wanted (93,000).
An episode of season 10 of Death in Paradise followed the news with 388,000 watching the repeat episode.
It was then Sunday night at the movies for ABC with the 2018 Judi Dench film Red Joan co-starring Sophie Cookson and Tom Hughes. The movie just missed the Sunday top 10 with 229,000.
A repeat episode of Total Control season 2 followed with 37,000.
