To tease its much-anticipated festive campaign, retailer John Lewis has released a sneak peek of its Christmas ad.
The 10-second short shows a person wheeling a tree down the street on what appears to be a skateboard. As the protagonist guides the pine down the road, viewers see houses lit up with sparkling lights and jolly decorations.
The words ‘Christmas Begins’ pop up on screen as the man gives well-wishes to passersby. Alluding to a possible campaign name, ‘The Beginner’ then appears as the teaser concludes. Are we going to see a child learn how to become a skateboarder?

Over the years, John Lewis has been synonymous with emotive storytelling in its festive ads. Memorable spots including ‘Monty the Penguin’ and ‘The Man on the Moon’ have remained firm favorites.
