Hit BBC Three show Wreck is voyaging from passive to interactive territory by being made available to play within the popular online gaming universe of Fortnite.
Metaverse specialist Metavision has teamed up with 3D Labs to translate the Euston Films cruise ship-set comedy horror into a gaming experience, inviting brave souls to board the Sacramentum in the company of an unknown assassin disguised by a creepy duck costume.
The Sacramentum Slasher experience invites players to play detective and unmask the demented hatchet-wielding avian before they become its latest victim.
Rhys Hancock, co-founder and managing director at Metavision, said: “This dynamic multi-platform campaign is laser-focused on helping the BBC develop deeper relationships with harder-to-reach gaming native audiences where they spend their time.”

Noemi Spanos, joint managing director and executive producer at Euston Films, added: “The tone of the show lends itself to high-octane gameplay and the cruise ship is the perfect confined setting to play within.”
The tie-up marks a move by the broadcaster to court younger audiences by carrying themed content across Fortnite Creative, social and broadcast.
BBC Three relaunched on television earlier this year, having spent six years as an online-only channel.
