    Ready for Hardee’s biscuit-infused beer?

In honor of National Biscuit Month, Hardee's has partnered up with Southern Grist Brewing Co. to create a liquified version of its famous bready, buttermilk bites.

If you ever dreams of drinking down a Hardee's biscuit in liquid beer form, your day has arrived. Hardee’s is teaming up with Nashville, Tennessee-based brewery Southern Grist Brewing Co. to launch Strawberry Biscuit Ale.

As a celebration of National Biscuit Month, the new cream ale is infused with 200 pounds of Hardee’s ‘Made From Scratch Biscuits,’ rounding out the flavor profile of the beer, which features hints of buttermilk and strawberry jam.

“When we came up with the idea for a Hardee's Biscuit Beer, only one brewery came to mind to bring the idea to life – Southern Grist,” said Owen Klein, vice-president of culinary innovation at Hardee's parent CKE Restaurants, in a statement. “They approach brewing with the same mad scientist mentality that we use for our new menu launches and know how to deliver on flavor. After a few rounds of testing, Southern Grist nailed it.”

Klein described the new ale as an ”amazing, crushable beer.”

Of the 900-plus different flavor profiles Southern Grist Brewing Co. has developed since opening its doors in 2016, this is its first biscuit-infused brew, said the company's cofounder and production manager Jared Welch in a statement. “We were definitely intrigued when Hardee's approached us ... we are both Nashville-based brands known for our innovation, we thought we could have a lot of fun with this partnership and bring something special to both our guests, and we have!”

The launch adds to a growing list of unlikely beer activations this summer. Last month, Coors unveiled its ‘Thirst Trap’ – a cheeky can-fitted mosquito trap designed to rid drinkers of the “ultimate buzzkill.” Meanwhile, Miller Light rolled out bike-sharing-inspired grilling stations in New York City, and Scotland-based Brewdog raised a glass to Boris Johnson’s resignation
