For some artists, it can be nearly impossible to receive adequate resources to fund projects. Knowing this, Herschel Supply Co and Canadian agency Rethink have created a ‘bank’ of creativity to help emerging artists with the mentorship and tools needed to launch their careers.
The backpack brand partner with established creatives such as artists Olivia Rose and Danny Cole and photographer Sophia Wilson to provide personalized mentorship to 18 up-and-coming creators.
Rather than typical bank loans, Herschel equipped the creators with tools of their trade, including art materials, camera equipment and studio space, which meant less time working additional jobs or hours to fund supplies for their craft and more time dedicated to their creative pursuits.
Located in the former Brooklyn Bank in Brooklyn, New York, the activation took place over two days. Each advisor-creator session was approximately an hour long and concluded with a grand reveal of their equipment and supplies in the bank vault.
The project will be further amplified through social media channels.
