Covid-19 has a branding issue. More accurately, the end of Covid-19 has a branding issue.

Very soon we’ll be at the point where everyone who wants a vaccine, mostly the ones who have listened to the facts and science, will have had the vaccine.

Herd immunity is just over the fence, next pasture to the right. Yet 45% of Republicans say they don’t plan to get vaccinated. Medicine has somehow become a political flag.

So here’s a thought – instead of trying to take political beliefs out of the equation, let’s use them for the greater good.

What if we rebrand the vaccine as the Trump Vaccine?

Give Trump full credit for making it happen (not altogether untrue), along with extra credits of praise.

Vaccine sites could start handing out Trump band-aids at certain locations. Right-leaning media and social platforms could begin inserting the phrase ‘Trump Vaccine’ into the conversation, and create social badges allowing people to hype that they got the Trump Vaccine.

Yes, it would require a lot of people to just bite their tongue and let Trump take credit for saving the population, but at least we’d be able to do it in a crowded restaurant without a mask.

This is a very media-savvy and connected crowd, so who wants to help pull this off?

For humanity.
