Feel like crap?

Sometimes, it's hard to talk about the heavy stuff. To help people open up, the mental health charity Calm has teamed up with the comedian Rosie Jones, calling upon the Unicode Consortium to add a new emoji into circulation. 

The aim is to help users take the first steps towards telling a friend or loved one that they are struggling with their mental wellbeing or simply ‘feel like crap’, in an easy-to-use, non-intimidating, and accessible way, before things get too overwhelming.

The Good Guys Guide 

M&C Saatchi has drafted a set of minimum social standards for men to follow in the interests of making our streets a safer environment for women called the ‘Good Guys Guide‘. 

The ‘Good Guys Guide‘ sees the creative agency turn its attention to addressing societal issues with seven golden rules instructing conscientious males how to go about their business in an unthreatening manner.

Among many things last year taught us, it's that humans are resourceful. Especially little humans, who find joy in the strangest of places.

From sticks to brooms, colanders to hairbrushes, Fisher-Price has released a cutesy spot that acts as a playful reminder that toys are literally all around us.

Happy Birthday Twitter 

As Twitter reaches its 15th birthday, the Canadian Center for Child Protection has an unusual celebratory message. 

Fronted by victims of child sexual abuse the film highlights how abuse can be shared across Twitter and the emotional toll it has taken on victims, as a way of trying to get the platform to remove the recordings.

Get home safe

The IPA, aided by the support of 150 marcomms agencies, is lobbying the UK government, calling on it to amend HMRC rules that tax taxi expenses prior to 9pm.

Concerned the rule may discourage bosses from keeping staff safe, the 'Get Home Safe' initiative has been lead by Creature London in response to the death of Sarah Everard, who went missing while walking home from her friend's house.
