Independent global digital creative agency AnalogFolk has named Pierrre-Axel Pejouan, former associate strategy director at AKQA Portland, as strategy director of its Amsterdam outpost.
AnalogFolk launched in Amsterdam in October 2019, its seventh global office and first on the European continent. Under the leadership of managing director Kris Smith, it has steadily grown its headcount and client portfolio with wins for progressive global brands including Nike, Foot Locker, Johnnie Walker and Tommy Hilfiger. The agency’s independent model and strong creative output have established a reputation with brands seeking purposeful digital innovation.
In his role as strategy director, Pejouan will be responsible for leading consumer-centric strategies, with a strong emphasis on brand impact and creating value through digital technology. He will report into Smith, working collaboratively with executive creative director Carren O’Keefe.
Pejouan has earned a reputation for blending culture, communications and technology to help world-leading brands create meaningful connections with audiences. Prior to AKQA he was a strategist for both Ogilvy Worldwide and TBWA Paris.
Smith says: “We’ve established a strong track record that has allowed us to grow during a very challenging time. Pierre-Axel’s expertise and experience with leading agencies and brands make him an ideal addition to our growing team. Along with Carren’s ongoing creative leadership, we’ve strengthened our offering and accelerated our ability to deliver impactful work for our clients.”
Pejouan adds: “Working across different continents with some of the world’s most innovative brands has provided me experience that I’m thrilled to put into practice at AnalogFolk. The agency’s belief and demonstrable proof in using digital to make the analogue world better, along with how quickly the Amsterdam team grew while fostering a culture of collaboration and belonging, really impressed me.”
