The Drum is to launch The Can-Do Festival, a digital initiative that will run from 15 June through to 26 June. The event will be a celebration of best marketing practice and amazing innovation, as well as a platform to highlight the can-do attitude at the heart of the industry.

The online festival will play host to a series of keynote addresses, panel sessions, and round tables where online delegates will hear first-hand about how many leading brands and agencies are transforming their business models in the current climate.

Gordon Young, editor-in-chief at The Drum said: “We want to recognise the emerging ideas and innovate thinking that is helping many navigate the current economic challenges. And it is not all doom and gloom out there. This industry is amazingly resilient, and its innovative thinking and creative thinking is a huge part of the story.”

In addition, The Drum will announce many of the winners of its latest awards schemes, which cover a variety of sectors including marketing, design, creativity and search. Many of the award-winning case studies will be discussed in detail, offering some insight into best practices.

“We want to make this work famous, and the people behind it famous. That way the community as a whole can learn from those who are getting it right, and perhaps see how they can apply these lessons on their own businesses,” added Young.

The Can-Do Festival follows hot on the heels of The Drum’s Digital Transformation, an online event that focused on the growing need for digital skills and technology within businesses in order to flourish.
