Dentsu Singapore strategy lead, Udara Withana, has joined the senior team at digital agency Toaster in the newly created role of head of strategy.
He will be based in the Singapore regional head office and work across the agency’s client portfolio, which includes Google and Unilever Clear Global.
Withana said it was “time for a new challenge” after six years at Dentsu.
“The opportunity to be part of an agency that engineers behaviour change ideas at scale is exciting,” he said.
Toaster executive creative director APAC and India, Vinod Savio, described Withana as a “well respected strategic mind” who can create work combining emerging technology, data and culture.
“I know he will elevate Toaster’s work in bringing people and brands together in creative and delightful ways,” he said.
Toaster APAC MD Dorothy Yew added: “He will play an essential role in our continued growth given his track record of delivering consumer-centric solutions across global, regional and local clientele.”
In addition to its Singapore hub, London-based Toaster has regional offices in Delhi and Jakarta.
