OMD Thailand has appointed Roxanne Somboonsiri as managing director. She moves from Facebook where she was global business manager for Asia-Pacific and Middle East.
Somboonsiri has previously worked for the CBS Interactive, New York Times and Grey based out of San Francisco before spending over eight years at Facebook across different roles including the lead for Thailand.
Speaking about her new assignment, Somboonsiri said: “I am excited to join an agency network that is both forward-thinking and pragmatic in its approach to transforming its clients’ businesses.
“Having worked on the publishing side, OMD has always stood out for its unwavering focus on delivering real business results for its clients from their media investments.
“I am excited to join the team and be part of the agency’s success story in Thailand, helping brands make ‘Better Decisions, Faster’ for their organisations and place them in a stronger position for the future.”
OMD Asia-Pacific CEO Stephen Li added: “We were looking for an untraditional candidate to take the OMD offering in Thailand to the next level, so that our clients can take a better and faster grasp of the digital transformation sweeping through the country.
“With Roxanne’s rich Silicon-Valley experience and international perspectives, she ticks all the boxes and I have no doubt that she will lead the agency and our clients to accomplish great things in Thailand.”
