What happens when you put creatives against each other and ask them to try and beat their rivals to a two-minutes buzzer to argue whether we need a creative revolution?
Come to The Drum’s Creative Rumble in partnership with Adobe Stock and find out. Post the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, The Drum has invited some of the brightest minds in advertising to talk about the value of creativity and whether there is a crisis in creative effectiveness.
FCB New York’s executive creative director, Gabriel Schmitt and Publicis New York’s chief creative officer, Andy Bird, will square off on July 30th at WeWork Times Square’s rooftop.
Schmitt and his agency came up with the Whopper Detour for Burger King. Bird was behind the Cadillac ‘Dare Greatly’ Oscars campaign in 2015 featuring overachievers such as Steve Wozniak, Richard Linklater and Jason Wu.
The Drum’s Creative Rumble will be followed by a panel discussion to explore whether the fundamental rules of advertising are broken. The panel will include Schmitt, Bird and William Allen, vice president of community products at Adobe. The session will be moderated by The Drum’s creative works editor, Kyle O’Brien.
