Taste of Home, a top food media brand, is celebrating its fifth annual Gingerbread Boulevard alongside longtime sponsor, Folgers. The two are bringing a handcrafted gingerbread cityscape to New York's Madison Square Park for everyone to enjoy. This time, the culinary platform is upping its game by allowing people to enter to win a contest that could find them being served dinner at the gingerbread table.
Inspired by NYC’s iconic holiday window displays, Taste of Home and Folgers are inviting visitors to come by the boulevard, peek in the windows, experience holiday tastings, and discover the decorations and enchanting winter wonderland inside the house. This year features one main house, covered in candy cane and gingerbread-like panels, plus a matching sleigh outside of it. Visitors can sit in the sleigh for fun photo ops. In 2017, more than 300,000 visitors attended.
Running through December 19 at the south end of Madison Square Park, this year's installation will also feature a magical dining experience. Taste of Home visitors can sign up for a chance to dine with their friends and family inside Taste of Home's life-size gingerbread house. Dining experiences will include coffee pairings from Folgers.
Visitors can sign up online or directly at the Gingerbread Boulevard holiday kiosk in Madison Square Park, through December 10. Twenty winners will be selected and notified on December 11. Each winner can bring up to three additional guests. Winners of the lottery will have an exclusive catered dessert tasting or brunch held within the Gingerbread House. Up to seven people can attend each culinary tasting event.
