Jason Peterson, the chief creative officer of Havas North America, has abruptly left the company.
It was announced today (8 October) that the creative, who is also known as somewhat of an Instagram influencer, will no longer work for the agency. In a statement, Havas confirmed employer and employee had reached a “mutual agreement”.
"We thank Jason for his contributions to our creative organization in North America and wish him all the very best in the future," the statement read.
The news comes one day after US industry title AdAge published an investigation into the so-called “toxic work environment” culture Peterson had established in Havas’ offices in Chicago.
Central to complaints was the CCO’s decision to print and display comments made about the agency on Fishbowl, an online platform that claims to be a ‘safe place to discuss workplace issues’.
Peterson was only today quoted in a press release promoting the company’s #BlackAtWork activation at this week’s 3% Conference.
