Jim Moser is to step down as chief executive officer of Clemenger Group New Zealand after ten years in the role to become chief executive of Clemenger Marketing Services.
The change will see Moser responsible for all of Clemenger Group’s Australian companies, excluding Clemenger BBDO Melbourne and Sydney and CHE Proximity.
He will be replaced by Jim Gall, the founder and chief executive of Redhanded Communications, a company that was acquired by Clemenger four years ago.
Gall, who was previously chairman of Marketforce / OMD Western Australia, will move to Auckland to assume his new role from 1 November. Gall will be replaced by Redhanded managing director Lachlan Drummond.
Robert Morgan, executive chairman of Clemenger Group, said the appointments demonstrate the company’s “management depth and seamless succession”.
"Jim Moser has done a fantastic job leading our extremely strong and diverse New Zealand operations. New Zealand accounts for about 30% of our Group profits and an even greater share of our creative reputation. New Zealand punches well above its weight on both counts. In his time in New Zealand, Jim Moser has made many friends and business contacts and has been a great coach and leader across our businesses.”
"Clemenger Group New Zealand deserves to have a CEO located in New Zealand dedicated to developing and nurturing the Clemenger Group interests. To foster the many and diverse companies and great people that make us what we are," said Morgan.
Clemenger Group is Australasia's largest marketing communications network and is majority owned by Onimcom via the BBDO network.
Last month, Clemenger Group acquired a majority stake in digital consultancy Levo Digital.
