Sizmek has appointed former GroupM Australia's head of technology and operations, Timothy Whitfield, as vice president, strategic solutions APAC to lead technology and strategy in the region.

In his new role, Whitfield will advise large brands and agencies on how to build out their technology stack and activate their data. 

Prior to the parent company role, Whitfield held the role of operations director, Xaxis, based in Sydney.

Whitfield said: “Building the best bespoke adtech stack solution for each agency and brand can be challenging. Agencies need to get primed for the next phase of programmatic advertising and Sizmek is enabling the industry with the right mix of technology and data, media, and creative solutions.

"Our goal is to be a strategic partner for our clients and help them navigate the constantly evolving technology landscape.” 

Sizmek APAC general manager, Damien Thomson, added: “We believe Tim’s appointment will enable Sizmek to execute on the growth plan in the Asia-Pacific region and help agencies expertly fuse together media, data and creative—all powered by AI.
