It's Thursday, which means it's time once again to wallow in nostaglia. And given that this particular Thursday falls in a week when stock video footage, of all things, was elevated to global-news talking point and a cornerstone of Trumpian diplomacy, we decided to travel all the way back to 2017 and 2014 to #TBT a couple of stock-footage classics: "This Is a Generic Millennial Ad" and "This Is a Generic Brand Video," below.

While Trump's fake movie trailer was unintentionally funny, these two ad spoofsboth from Dissolve, a Calgary-based purveyor of stock photography and videoare funny on purpose. (Make that tragically funny if you work in advertising.)
