Venus Teoh, currently marketing director at Asia Pacific Breweries (APB) Singapore has taken on a new role as international brand director - Tiger. Meanwhile, the search is currently underway for Teoh’s replacement, who will be named in due time, the company said in a statement to Marketing.
The role will see her looking after the development and managing the Tiger beer brand globally in 72 markets, with a high concentration of the business lying in the Asia Pacific region. In her new role, Teoh reports to Frans Eusman, Heineken Asia Pacific president, and Walter Drenth, senior global director of international brands. She takes over from Mie-Leng Wong, who recently took on the role of regional CMO for Asia, Middle East and Africa at Mondelez International earlier this month.

During her time as marketing director at APB Singapore, Teoh was responsible for heading the marketing function of 18 brands, which includes Tiger, Heineken and Guinness, to name a few.
She first entered the organisation in 2003 as regional channel development manager at Asia Pacific, and took on roles such as regional marketing manager of Asia Pacific in 2013 and head of global brands, innovation and mainstream from 2014 to 2015 until she was promoted to marketing director. Before APB, she also held positions at Philips and Sara Lee.
She also oversaw the execution of various real-time marketing campaigns for Tiger which includes its homage to pop culture happenings such as Black Panther and Game of Thrones, together with its creative agency BBDO Singapore.
Most recently, Tiger launched its latest “Uncage Heroes” campaign globally, with its focus on young creatives whose bold approach to their craft have also served a good cause. This saw marketing activations being run across 13 markets. This includes Singapore, Malaysia, Korea, Japan, New Zealand and Germany among others.
