GDPR Summit: London
A seasoned keynote speaker at industry events across the UK and overseas, Ivana will be moderating the HR Briefing theatre at GDPR Summit: London, and will be speaking on Accountability Principle.
Under the GDPR, which comes into force next month, organisations will be required to demonstrate that they are implementing “appropriate technical and organisational measures that ensure and demonstrate that you comply” with a new culture of accountability in data protection
Such measures may include a review of internal data protection policies, such as staff training, internal data audits, audits of processing activities and HR policies. Accountability will need to be baked into companies’ action plans they evolve to meet the standards of the GDPR.
Central to this responsibility will be the maintenance of all relevant documentation regarding processing activities, and putting systems in place to monitor processing so that transparency and best practice spearhead ongoing commitment to data security.
Delegates at next week’s GDPR Summit: London will be able to hear expert views from Ivana regarding the Accountability Principle and how its implementation will manifest itself within the broader journey to GDPR compliance.
