Cadreon, adtechnology specialist unit of IPG Mediabrands, has appointed Erica Schmidt as its global chief executive officer where she will focus on the global development and management of its programmatic offering.

Schmidt will work with Arun Kumar, global chief data and marketing technology officer to continue to partner on scaling IPG’s data and technology infrastructure.

Previously serving as executive vice president, managing director, North America at Cadreon, Schmidt led the team that developed the agency’s best-in-class product suite which includes proprietary tools that bridge technology, analytics and strategy to connect customers with brands.

Schmidt said that she is thrilled to take on this role and work in partnership with UM, Initiative and IPG Mediabrands management to propel its business forward. “Our network’s open-architecture enables us to go-to-market with a hybrid approach where programmatic can be integrated into every strategic brief, with clear purpose and objectives,” she explained.

“This resonates with our agency partners and clients and is crucial to creating valuable, dynamic and long-lasting relationships between brands and consumers worldwide.”

Schmidt will be appearing at Programmatic Punch New York on March 28. Her fireside chat, ‘owning your data and knowledge’, will look at how IPG Mediabrands navigate walled gardens.
