or so i thought.
but yesterday was not just another saturday!
why?
because there were requests for me to meet 4 prospects on saturday. as saturday is my only off-day (devoted to my family), it is a really precious day for me to spend time with my family.
as i am accustomed to giving, i have to accede to 3 of the requests but not all requests as my 3 meetings were scheduled to be after breakfast at compass point, after lunch at plaza singapura and after dinner meeting at white sands.
i could not possibly agree to the 4th request because my meetings usually stretch from more than 2 hours long to 4 or more hours. the longest one and a record so far in my entire 13 years in the financail industry is more than 6 hours long.
my comments:
to be frank, i would not agree to meetings on saturday because this is the only day that i can devote to my family.
and from a purely business standpoint, i am taking a risk because these are all unqualified prospects whom i have not even met before and therefore, do no have any existing business relationship with any one of them.
as it turned out, all 3 meetings were unproductive to me (not to them because of the free flow of information from me to them) because all of them may not be insurable due to existing medical history and or medical conditions. |
