It sure looks like 2010 is the year of affairs and scandals! First it was the Tiger Woods scandal that rocked the golf scene. I remember reading the headline "Tiger's Birdie Scores a Hole!" on some tabloid website and shaking my head. I lost count how many women claimed to have slept with him! Not long after, The Sun, a UK tabloid newspaper, revealed that Chelsea and former England captain John Terry had an affair with an ex-teammate's girlfriend.
Weeks later, the same tabloid revealed to the world that Terry's club and international teammate Ashley Cole had affairs with numerous women. Mind you, this doesn't include the three affairs in 2008. Needless to say, Girls Aloud singer Cheryl Cole has decided to end the marriage. This has nothing to do with the scandal but I bet you didn't know Ashley Cole is a distant cousin of American R&B and pop singer Mariah Carey. If Mariah was my cousin, I would be having incestuous thoughts every damn night! Hah!
Just yesterday, our local media had a field day reporting about the Jack Neo affair. I would say 'alleged' but the multi-talented owner of J Team Productions has confirmed the affair. What the hell was Jack Neo thinking?? I saw pictures of the model with whom he had the two year affair and she ain't all that! I was actually disappointed that he put his marriage at risk because of that 'thing'. But...Jack has an amazing wife and all is forgiven. Amen!
I don't think any different of the above men. I think all of them are fantastic at what they do best. I know lots of people are saying that they are bad role models. Did any of these men want to be role models? To me, it's just a title that came with their jobs. They are as human as you and I.
For all we know, they had their affairs because their wives weren't giving them any. I have some friends that strayed because their partners (both male & female) didn't want to have sex. I personally think it's wrong in so many ways to have an affair. But, I can also understand why my friends did what they did. What do you people think? |
