ERFURT, Germany (Kyodo) Speedskater Yuya Oikawa matched his season-best finish with a second-place run in the 500 meters at a World Cup meet on Saturday. Oikawa crossed the line in 35.10 seconds, 0.13 behind Dutchman Jan Smeekens, in the first event after the Vancouver Olympics.
